David Christian, hosted in part by our Programme on the Impacts of Future Technology, will be presenting his work on “Big History” at the Oxford Martin School on January 31st at 16:00.
Big History examines our past in both cosmological and human scales. Although humans have existed for a short time and within a limited space, our sheer complexity seems unprecedented. Big history focuses on how humankind fits into the universe, and asks us to take a broader view of our past.
