Academic Positions

Researchers - Please see link above under Vacancies.

The FHI seeks to recruit researchers of outstanding intellect and academic calibre who will contribute to our work in one or more of our core research areas.

If you wish to be informed of future job openings, please email us at the address given below.

If you think you might be an especially good fit for the FHI, also feel free to email us your academic CV.  Although we cannot consider any job applications except for advertised positions, we would like to be aware of potential high-quality applicants who might be interested in new openings.

Academic Visitors

We accept a small number of self-funded academic visitors to spend time at the Institute and pursue independent research related to current priorities in the Institute's research programmes.  If you are interested in being such a visitor, please send an email to the address below.

Students

The FHI does not directly accept graduate or undergraduate students.  Students at Oxford University are welcome to attend our research seminar and to participate in many of our other activities.  If you are outside Oxford and would like to get involved in FHI's work as a graduate student, we suggest you first apply to do a degree course with the Faculty of Philosophy, the Institute for Science and Civilization, or the relevant faculty for your home discipline.  Students accepted via these channels are welcome to become involved in FHI events.
