In a recent Nature survey, one in five academics said they had used drugs for non-medical reasons to stimulate their focus, concentration, or memory. In the future, technology may allow us to directly inspect and enhance our brains in order to radically increase our thinking capacities. Should we utilise such technology? Will we? How will it change us?

In this far-reaching talk, Anders Sandberg will discuss current and near-future approaches to cognitive enhancement as well as the accompanying ethical dilemmas. There will be discussion following the talk and we will move to the Turf Tavern for further conversation afterwards.
