Toby Ord's charity, Giving What We Can is an international society dedicated to eliminating poverty in the developing world. It's members are united in the belief that global poverty is one of the most important problems in the world today.

They have taken the Pledge to Give at least 10% of their incomes to help relieve suffering in the developing world

Toby Ord (the founder and director of Giving What We Can) is a research fellow in ethics at the University of Oxford and a Research Associate at the Future of Humanity Institute. Renowned philosophers Peter Singer and Thomas Pogge have been well known for giving a significant fraction of their incomes and were quick to sign up, along with half a dozen graduate students in the field of ethics.
