Anders Sandberg presented his paper "An Overview of Models of Technological Singularity" on March 8 at the workshop "Roadmaps to AGI and the future of AGI" following the AGI10 conference in Lugano, Switzerland.
The conference dealt with artificial general intelligence, attempts to create systems with human-like general intelligence. Dr Sandberg reviewed our current knowledge of how accelerating technological change can take place, especially in the light of "intelligence explosions" of artificial intelligence or multiplication of human capital, and participated in a panel discussion about the policy implications of such developments.
