Charlie Rogers-Smith

2020 Summer Research Fellow

Charlie is currently studying for a master’s in statistics at the Oxford. Before this, he did an undergrad in maths at St Andrews, where he also founded and ran the EA group. He’s done bits and pieces of research in approximate Bayesian computation, Bayesian deep learning, and more recently, causal identifiability for AI safety. His dissertation focuses on robustness for deep learning (learning-theory style), and he maintains an active interest in technical AI safety.
