The Future of Humanity Foundation (FHF) is looking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer to aid in the setup of the organisation and execution and its operations.
FHF is a new organisation which will support the work of the Future of Humanity Institute (FHI) at the University of Oxford. FHF will support FHI by hiring or contracting potential collaborators and researchers and research support staff; providing operational support to ensure fast and efficient management of the various research support activities; and also by disbursing grants to support FHI’s research.
We are searching for a skilled and highly organised professional to own the set-up of the charity, develop robust operational procedures, and carefully execute the fiscal and administrative responsibilities of the organisation as it grows. The CEO will provide stable leadership to FHF, while developing it into a mature and efficient research support organisation. In the first 2-3 years of operations, depending on FHFs ability to grow, the CEO will be expected to fundraise (under the guidance of Trustees) and spend around £1.5-3m.
The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating or managing a project or programme of activities, with experience of developing and managing project budgets; excellent time management skills; strong communication and problem-solving skills; show initiative in dealing with novel and changing situations and drive forward projects with minimal supervision; detail-orientation; appreciation for legal sensitivities and how they impact the organisation; and be passionate about the organisation’s aim of reducing existential risk.
The deadline for applications is 28th of September 2020. More information about the role and how to apply can be found here.
