Maria graduated with a 1st class MPhys from the University of Oxford in 2020. She is now doing a DPhil co-supervised in the Mathematical Physics group of the Mathematical Institute, and Prof. Vlatko Vedral’s Frontiers of Quantum Physics group in the Department of Physics. Her DPhil research is in re-framing quantum thermodynamics using Constructor Theory. She is also highly active in quantum science communication and outreach. At FHI, she is interested in exploring the ultimate limits of technology and the long-term consequences of Constructor Theory.
Thesis: Constructor-theoretic consequences for quantum information and thermodynamics in nanoscale systems.
