Specializations: regulation, role of firms in global governance, multistakeholder governance models and design

Peter Cihon is a Visiting Researcher at the Governance of AI Program. His research focuses on the international political economy of AI regulation, the role of firms in AI governance, and multistakeholder institutional design. Previously, he was a Herchel Smith Scholar at the University of Cambridge, studying Computer Science and an MPhil in Technology Policy. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Williams College with a degree in Political Economy and Sociology. He is a former Google Policy Fellow, and has worked on digital policy in government, civil society, and academia on three continents.
