On May 24, the Future of Life Institute at MIT will host an opening event with board members Jaan Tallinn, George Church, Alan Alda, and Frank Wilczek. The Future of Life Institute is dedicated to responsible innovation and the reduction of existential risk. The event, “The Future of Technology: Benefits and Risks,” will take place at the MIT auditorium. Other speakers will include Andrew McAfee (author of The Second Machine Age) and Ting Wu (professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School).  For more information about The Future of Life Institute or the opening event, please see here.
