On February 4th, a diverse group met at the Future of Humanity Institute to discuss projects in agent based modelling (ABM).  Experts in cultural anthropology, neuroscience, complex systems, and ecology all shared insights into how ABM is used in their respective fields.

Projects included utilising ABM to predict revolution thresholds, aid substance farmers, model species spread, and analyse insurance markets. FHI is particularly interested in modelling the dynamics of engineered pandemics, and is grateful to all participants for sharing their expertise.
