Last month FHI researchers, in collaboration with the Centre for Effective Altruism, met in Helsinki to discuss existential risk policy with a number of Finnish government agencies.  A full-day workshop was followed by meetings held at the Office of the President, as well as with groups in policy planning and arms control.

Sponsored by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, FHI has been working with CEA to bring the issue of existential risk to the international community through diplomatic networks.  We are excited by this collaboration and look forward to continuing it.  A report on our previous workshop with the Finnish government is here.
