Applications are invited for a Research Assistant for Professor Nick Bostrom, Director of FHI. We are looking for a general-purpose research assistant willing to conduct research on diverse topics meaningful to the work of the Director. We are able to sponsor a visa for applicants who do not have the right to work in the UK.

The role holder will undertake comprehensive literature reviews and produce appropriate output for contribution to: research publications, presentations at conferences or public meetings, and book chapters. You will coordinate with relevant stakeholders in research groups, partner institutions/organisations, to manage timelines of various research projects and disseminate the research by presenting at conferences or public meetings.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding intellectual capacity, and a bachelors and/or masters degree with a demonstrable research potential in an FHI relevant research area. Excellent communication skills, including writing skills, are also crucial. You will have time to conduct and manage your research, in line with FHI’s research interests, when the volume of work permits.
